Deze Nederlandse actrice gaat Tina Turner spelen in nieuwe musical
Tina: The Musical is een productie van het bedrijf van Joop van den Ende. De musical krijgt een extra Hollands tintje, want in Duitsland neemt de Nederlandse actrice Channah Hewitt de rol van Tina Turner op zich.
Channah was al eerder te zien in The Lion King. In Duitsland wordt ze de understudy van de hoofdrolspeler. Haar agent liet weten op de avonden dat ze niet in de hoofdrol schittert, ze een paar belangrijke bijrollen op zich neemt. Een manusje van alles dus, die Channah.
Première
De Duitse versie van de musical Tina is vanaf maart 2019 in Duitsland te zien. In Londen is de musical al in première gegaan en kreeg het lyrische reacties. Halverwege 2019 zal Tina ook op Broadway in première gaan. Allemaal leuk en aardig, maar ondertussen is nog niet duidelijk wanneer we in Nederland kunnen meezingen met simply the best. Afwachten dan maar...

Also: About 3 weeks ago I got the honor of meeting THE REAL TINA TURNER at the press launch of Tina Turner the musical in Hamburg where I performed as one of the Ikettes. I was like: “Hi, I’m Channah Hewitt. Such a pleasure to meet you” and she was like “Hi, I’m Tina Turner. The pleasure is all mine” *shaking hands*. 😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶🤭 . . . I’ve been a Tina fan since I was a little girl. I’m kinda a down to earth person and not easily someone’s “fan”, but Tina is someone I’ve ALWAYS looked up to..... Then, at the press launch, I got to perform for her. Like, she was looking at me, performing..... WOULD YA LOOK AT GOD 😭 . . . I’d like to take a moment to point out - for myself and everyone that needs a lil motivation - how much can happen in just one year. If you give everything to God, you will see God in everything. I’ve been building on His word all year (quoting it and putting it in all my hashtags for everyone to see) and there is really no way anyone can tell me He didn’t deliver. It’s really clear for everyone to see His Hand working in my life. Believer or non-believer.. You’d be blind to deny this favor...
